A Chinese early 19th Century sgraffito ruby-ground porcelain bowl. The exterior decorated with nine polychrome 'flower balls'. The base with underglaze blue six-character seal mark of Jiaqing (1796-1820). Diam. 17.2cm

Provenance: From a local home in Bath, acquired by the vendor's grandmother.

More Information

Faint star hairline to the base over the mark which is also visible to the interior of the bowl. One small chip to the rim. One other small hairline to interior rim - 1.5cm. No repairs.
