£150 - £200
A JAPANESE MEIJI PERIOD (1868-1912) CARVED WOOD OKIMONO OF AN SEATED ELDERLY GENTLEMAN. Modelled seated with one leg crossed over the other, a hat hanging on his back, signed Ischisho to base, 16.5cm high
The figure is lacking one leg, although this may perhaps have been intentional, there is a crack around the other ankle, two short cracks from footrim up into his jacket, some further minor chipping at edge of base, some slight wear overall.
