TWO CHINESE BLUE AND WHITE PORCELAIN KENDI, 16-18TH CENTURY. The first of typical form with floral decoration and white metal fittings to the rim and spout, Ming dynasty Wanli period (1572-1620); Together with another example decorated with phoenixes in flight in a floral ground, probably Kangxi period (1662-1722). 18.5cm and 23cm tall.
The Ming Kendi with faint hairline below the metal rim with no other signs of damage. The larger Kendi with restoration around the neck upwards, and also to the tip of the spout, below the neck line in good original condition.
