A Chinese 17th Century / late Ming Dynasty blue and white porcelain jar. The jar decorated in underglaze blue with scholar figures leading to a building. The base with a 'hare' mark. Tianqi period (1621-1627). Height approx. 17.5cm.
Provenance: Purchased from Peter Wells, Bourbon-Hanby Gallery , Chelsea London, 22nd August 1998.
Only slight chips around the foot rim. The rest of the body in good overall condition. No cracks and no repairs. Expected general wear with age and use.
