A CHINESE WUCAI PORCELAIN HORSE JAR AND COVER, PROBABLY 18TH CENTURY. Of baluster form with wide rounded shoulders decorated in vibrant enamels with yellow and aubergine glazed horses on swirling iron-red waves with prunus blossoms. The domed cover with pointed finial similarly decorated. Six-character mark of Wanli to base, possibly Kangxi period. 44cm tall.
Sections of repair to the body with pieces re stuck. No chips. The cover in good overall condition.
