TWO CHINESE PORCELAIN ITEMS, 19/20TH CENTURY. To include a bracket lobed celadon ground underglaze blue dish with central Shou medallion surround by stylised bats, with four character mark of Chenghua to base; Together with a famille rose enamelled porcelain bowl decorated with dragon and phoenix, with six character mark of Gaungxu to base. Together with a wooden display stand. Dish 26.5cm diam. (2) Provenance: Property of Terence E B Harnden who served as Senior Naval Stores Officer in Hong Kong between 1937 - 1940. Acquired in Hong Kong before returning to England, thence by descent.
The dish with very minor fritting to rim otherwise in good condition. The bowl with three small nicks to the rim, with no cracks. Both with no repairs.
