A CHINESE YELLOW-GROUND FAMILLE ROSE PORCELAIN CANDLE STICK, QIANLONG MARK, QING DYNASTY. Nicely enamelled throughout with turquoise-glaze to the interior of the base and smaller upper dish. Decorated to the exterior with the eight Buddhist emblems 'bajixiang' and blue enamelled key-fret band around the base. Six-character mark of Qianlong in a line to the central dish in iron-red. Together with another bell-shaped base missing the top section, which originally would have made these a pair. Candlestick 28cm height (2)

Provenance: Property of a local gentleman who inherited from his mother, acquired around the 1930's

More Information
